PANTONE®, a color company, deliberates among thousands of colors a
Color of the Year. They base it from worldwide trends and observations in fashion, home, lifestyle, cosmetics, appliances, electronics, design, current events and a lot more. For 2012, they declared Tangerine Tango (PANTONE® 17-1436) as the 2012 PANTONE® Color of the Year. According to Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®, Tangerine tango is “Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is an orange with a lot of depth to it. Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.” Check out more about the PANTONE® Color of the Year

In my opinion, Tangerine Tango is a perfect color to represent 2012. I have seen the hue in Magazines for a while now and it is really a trending color. It is a good color for design because it gives an appealing aura that is classy and sexy and the same time. It's time to spice up our life with a twist of Tangerine Tango. And to pay tribute to the Color of the Year, here's a collection of awesome artworks with the color Tangerine.
