Doodle Inspiration #3: Designer Toys
One of my dreams is to have my own designer toy store. Artist, especially Character designers, create 3d representation of their characters using molding clay, ABS plastic or vinyl. These are reproduced in limited editions only (10 to 2000 pcs). Some call them action figures, vinyl toys or designer toys. Unpainted toys are also available for those who don't have the money to mold their own design. These templates can be painted to form your custom design. Kidrobot.com offers the most popular designer toys and DIY toys. TokiDoki, Nathan Jurevicius, Noferin, Doktor A, Dalek, Tara McPherson, Jon Burgerman, TADO and Takashi Murakami are just some of my favorite designers. Here are design inspirations from designer toys all over the world.
